Pastor History

Elder Joe W. Jones

Born on September 3, 1959 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Dorsey Jones in Salisburg, NC. He is the fifth of six children. Elder Jones attended North Iredell High School and he also attended the Job Corp in Kentucky to further his education. In his teenage years, he was saved under the leadership of the late Pastor Ora Schofield in Statesville, NC. On September 3rd, 1983, Elder Jones married First Lady Tonia Jones. The Lord has blessed them with four lovely daughters; Shequita, Maresa, Jo Tiffany, and Briana Jones.

In 1983 through 1987, Elder Jones was in fellowship at All Saints under the leadership of Suff. Bishop Robert L. Tapper. In 1993 he accepted his calling in the ministry under the late Pastor Sandy Schofield and Pastor Robert L. Witt. He worked faithfully for over 15 years at the Greater new Mt. Olive Pentecostal Church in Statesville, NC. He held the position of president of the usher board. He also worked in the brotherhood department and as a sunday school teacher. In addition, he was part of the hospitality committee.

Elder Jones received his Minister and Elders license from the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World INC.(PAW). He also completed the ordination course through Aenon Bible College and was ordained by Bishop Moore at the Virginia State Council in 2002. After the death of Pastor Johnny Tucker in 2000, Pastor Jones was recommended by Suff. Bishop Robert Tapper and appointed over Greater Bibleway Apostolic by Bishop Clarence E. Moore. He and his family traveled every weekend from NC for one year to minister the word of GOD. In June 2001, GOD led him to move his family to Richmond, VA to further help the ministry.

In August 2005, we celebrated our Pastor's installment service performed by Bishop Clarence E. Moore of the Virginia State Council. Thanks to Elder Jones' training and knowledge of GOD and his word, our Pastor is a mighty man of GOD. He loves to see the people of GOD on fire and excited about JESUS and their salvation. He always encourages us to give GOD the glory and honor that is due to him. With GOD's help, he will continue to take us higher in the LORD.

Pastor Jones, his steps are ordered by GOD!
